Surveillance:

When you hire Private Investigators for surveillance you need to know that your subject guides the investigation. If the subject goes to work late one day or leaves home earlier than usual, changes may be required. We recommend that you discuss limits with any investigative agency before you begin surveillance if you have any questions. While some people are easier to observe or keep pace with in traffic, others require a lot more technique, time or surveillance resources. Be prepared to use more surveillance hours and if the case requires less, you'll be ahead.

Surveillance Hourly Rate

The rate for surveillance is $75.00 per hour plus $0.50 cents per mile. Video tape or digital still photographs as needed are also included. Surveillance reports detailing the investigators observations, times and dates will be provided for you via email unless other options are requested. Timed stamped video or still photos document the investigators presence at the scene. Reports can be sent via email, U.S. mail, faxed or delivered by hand for an additional charge.

Firm Profile: Criminal Defense Investigation

The owner(Steve Gustat) of CRB has been in the investigative business for over 30 years and has worked the most complicated cases in the criminal justice field. He also works with the most prestigious New York City and Washington D.C. law firms on death penalty cases. Mr. Gustat received the Investigator of the Year award by the Florida Public Defenders Association.

Steve Gustat has worked on over 100 death penalty cases at both the trial and post conviction levels. At trial level, there were no clients who received the Death Penalty and at post-conviction level, 8 of his clients were released from death row.

He is also a former chief investigator with a State of Florida agency that exclusively represented people on death row.

In addition to his investigation work, Mr. Gustat has taught criminology at the University of Tampa and developed a criminal defense investigation course, the only course of its kind in the United States to be taught at the University level. Mr. Gustat currently teaches criminal investigations for another college in the area.
